Diversity of awareness.

I've come away to give my husband respite, for those of you who don't know I have M.E; my son has high functioning autism and my husband is a superhero!!!
What's surprised me is the diversity in people's awareness of the world around them.
There are very few who are truly aware. From the chambermaids who move their trolleys into the rooms, so you can get by with a walking stick, through to the woman with her daughter who shoved my mother out of the way, stepping over my Great Auntie Barbara in her wheelchair, to steal the only available table in a coffee shop.
I'm not asking anything out of the ordinary...I'm not asking you to say hi, or smile. I'm asking you to show respect to a fellow human being. Not because I have difficulty moving around, but because I deserve personal space too.
If you see someone who is a little slower than you want, seems a little different don't assume we're doing it to annoy you. We're trying to have a cup of tea too.

Wow an entire year off!!

Not sure if that's serendipity at work.....but it seems it's been exactly a year since my last post!
I would say I've been busy, which I have, just not with work.

It's was a strange year, 2011, a lot happened to me. Seems the best way to put it. We started a new business, closed another. I started thinking about selling my art photography and jewellery, then got ill. 2011 came and went, and here I am. Now in 2012, picking up almost eaxactly where I left off. A year late.

I've got an iPad (iPiskie) to help me work, so I'll be back soon.
